George Psillas (1946 - 2024)
George Psillas, died Sunday, March 24, 2024.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran, with a private interment of his ashes in the columbarium to follow. The family will receive visitation after the service in the Fellowship Hall.
Sonia Carlson (1925 - 2024)
Sonia Carloss Carlson, 98, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Summit Hills. Born July 20, 1925, in Penzance, Cornwall, England, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Gerald and Anna Jenkins Carloss and the wife for 76 years to the late Dr. Howard L. Carlson.

James Allen Mabry (1952 - 2024)
James Allen Mabry, 71, of Spartanburg, died at his home. A native of Spartanburg, he was born on December 15, 1952, a son of the late James I. and Lois Grace Miller Mabry and husband of the late Pamela Sue Sprang Mabry.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Saturday, March 16, 2024, in the church parlor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 pm in the church sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Wade Apel and the Rev. Heather Apel. A private interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Jackie Lee Pfeiffer (March 3, 1937 - June 18, 2023)
Jackie Lee Pfeiffer was born on March 3, 1937, in French Creek, NY, to the late John and Dorothy Pfeiffer. He was the second of three children. Jack passed peacefully into God’s comforting embrace on Father’s Day, June 18, 2023, at the age of 86.

Randall “Chris” Sigmon (June 1, 1955 - June 17, 2023)
Randall “Chris” Sigmon of Spartanburg, SC, age 68, was promoted to glory Saturday, June 17, 2023, in his home surrounded by family after enduring a year-long battle with ALS. He was the Praise and Worship Leader at St. John’s Lutheran Church, alongside his forty-five years of service.

Nancy Smith Scott, age 82, of Spartanburg took her wings, “slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings” on April 30, 2023. She was certified in four languages - Latin, Spanish, French, and English. In Nancy’s words: Soli Deo gloria (Glory to God alone), paz para todos (peace for everyone), hommes de bonne volonte (good will to all men) Amen.

Rev. Everette Lewis Lineberger (Feb 16, 1929 - Feb 11, 2023)
The Rev. Everette Lewis Lineberger, age 93, of Inman passed peacefully into eternal life on February 11, 2023. Pastor Lineberger served 27 years as pastor of Saint John's Lutheran Church in Spartanburg, SC. He was named Pastor Emeritus of Saint John's in 1992.

Billy F. “Bill” Hunsinger, 79, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, December 9, 2022 at Summit Hills. Born June 12, 1943 in Campobello, SC, he was the son of the late Frank Otis and Olsie Burrell Hunsinger.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 415 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302, conducted by The Rev. Heather Apel. Dr. Richard Conn (Aug 8, 1936 - Dec 1, 2022)
Dr. Richard Lee Conn passed away on December 1, 2022. He was a surgeon, community advocate, educator, and beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife Loretta of 63 years, his five children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Rudolf Faltermeier (Jul 30, 1935 - Apr 30, 2022)
Rudolf Faltermeier, 86, passed away at his home surrounded by his family, Saturday, April 30, 2022. He was the husband of Natalia Schell Faltermeier, and the son of the late Otto Konigsbauer and Berta Faltermeier.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
A graveside service will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Joyce Lee Chaffey, 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Eden Terrace. Joyce was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Christopher David Wright, 45, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born January 12, 1977 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late David E. and Karen Bollinger Wright.

Dr. Lydia Caroline Nichols departed her earthly life on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System at the age of 44.

The Rev. Dr. James Harold Milligan, age 83 of Sevierville, formerly of Chesnee, South Carolina, went into the arms of his Lord Jesus, March 9th.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spartanburg, SC on April 2nd at 2:00PM. Inurnment will be held at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, Michigan at a later date.

Henry Frederick "Fred" Butehorn, Jr, MD was born on July 1, 1943 in Charleston, South Carolina and passed away on February 1, 2022 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
