Holy Week Schedule for 2024
Maundy Thursday (March 28, 2024): Worship at 12:15pm and 7:00pm in the Sanctuary
Our worship services on this day will focus on Jesus' command to "love another" as we hear the story of the holy meal that Jesus shared with his disciples on the night when he was betrayed. We will celebrate Holy Communion at both services, and the 7:00pm service will conclude with the stripping of the altar.
Good Friday (March 29, 2024): Worship at 12:15pm and 7:00pm in the Sanctuary
This will be a Tenebrae service, a word meaning "darkness." Candles will gradually be extinguished to symbolize Jesus' approaching death on the cross and burial in the tomb. We leave this service in silence and contemplation of the sacrifice of our Lord.
Easter Morning (March 31, 2024): 7:00am, 9:00am and 11:00am
There are a variety of worship services this day to celebrate our risen Lord! The Easter Sunrise service will be at 7:00am in the Lineberger Courtyard (weather permitting, the sanctuary will be used as backup worship space). Our Parish Life Center will hold the 9:00am Contemporary worship celebration, and our Traditional worship will be held at 11:00am in the Sanctuary. Please join us for an Easter Potluck Breakfast in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00am with an Easter Egg Hunt for the children. All are welcome!
